I am a graduate of Kenyatta University (Bachelor of Education in 1997, and Master of Education in 2006). I completed my Doctor of Philosophy degree from the Catholic University in Eastern Africa in 2012. From 1998 to 2013, I served the Teachers Service Commission as a Senior Graduate Teacher and Dean of Studies, among others, at Kahugu-ini Secondary School. Currently, I am on full time appointment as a Lecturer in the Department of Educational Management and Curriculum Studies at Mount Kenya University, Thika, with academic and professional interests in Educational Management and Planning. I have held appointments as a part-time lecturer at Kenyatta University and African Nazarene University in Nairobi. At Mount Kenya University, I have served the institution in various leadership and administrative positions, which in addition to my educational training, have prepared me for effective stewardship of University core functions of teaching, research and innovation for transformation and sustainable global development. I have co-career interests in student and staff mentorship and public speaking. I am a member and active participant of the Christian Scientific Association of Kenya, and the Kenya Association of Educational Administration and Management. I have authored/co-authored several publications, and organised and participated in many national and international conferences. Aged 44 years, I am married to Mr Henry Chui, a financial director in a local agribusiness establishment, and blessed with three children and one adopted.
