OCHIENG PAMELA ATIENO (D.Phil.,M Phil.; B.Ed. ART.)

Prof. Pamela A. Ochieng is an Associate Professor at Mount Kenya University, Having obtained her D.Phil (Educational Administration and Curriculum Studies) and M.Phil (Educational Management and Curriculum Studies) degree at Moi University and her B.Ed(Arts) at The University Of Nairobi.  Presently, the. Principal Open and Electronic Learning (ODEL), having been the director Nakuru campus, the deputy director Academic and Research Kitale campus and the post graduate coordinator Eldoret campus. She is immensely involved in research work, both nationally and internationally. In 2013, she has won several grants and carried out a research on pertinent issues in Kenya. She was involved in the Training of Trainers workshop organized by CODESRIA in 2010 and has since been a mentor and advisor to both postgraduate students and staff on research and academic advisory. She has written several publications in varied areas including Education and Sustainable Development, Gender mainstreaming, Research in Education and Gender issues, Special Needs and Inclusion, Education and Technology, Language and Policy Development, Management and Implementation of Policy Issues, Gender and the Environment, and Early Childhood Development Education. She has taught in several universities including Masinde Muliro University of Science and Technology and Moi University. She is a member of several professional organisations including; African Network For International Education ( ANIE),Research Gate Scientific Network, Research Africa International, International Association for Commonwealth Universities, Research LinkedIn, CODESRIA and Christian Scientific Association of Kenya (CSAK)
